Retro from Rising Contemporary Designer Gina Corrieri

Rising London contemporary designer Gina Corrieri takes us back to her SS15 Menswear

19 year old contemporary London-based fashion designer Gina Corierri, unveiled a flamboyant and artistic collection later in 2015 mixing the street-wear and the edgy vintage look. With the looks and designs crossing paths with the likes of Kim Jones, Kris Van Assche and Raf Simmons, Gina Corrieri epitomises the newest trends of retro and street style. The SS15 Mens collection was a whole art collection of the 'new wave' of retro buzz in London at the moment in the music scene, youth culture, fashion as well as art.

"The music I listen to and the people and things around me in our city London was what inspired me to create my collection" Gina said. The high-end aspiration in the collection, the creativity and the underground 'grungy' appearance stands the collection out and epitomises the underground youth scene and pop culture. The collection show us the dark and dreary underground vibes in London and what a night out for a cool 19 year old is like.

From buttoned smart shirts with Aztec styled patterns and print, to ripped denim jeans with meaningful text shows the big contrast of sophistication transferring to the rebellious tone. "This shows our city today I feel. There is the rich and posh side of London and also the latest underground youth scene which is making a new big mark for itself. This is what I am trying to show through my collection".

Big artistic and contemporary designers like Kris Van Assche, Matthew Miller, Raf Simmons, Kim Jones would be proud of this collection by 19 year old Gina Corrieri. The 90's like nostalgia and ethics, urban art culture and foreign patterns and printing created an exciting, artful and flamboyant collection to be placed and set in London. The ethos is excruciatingly dark and raw signifying a 2:07 am on a Saturday at an underground club in London with cool 19 year olds!

The expectations are looking rather high now for Gina Corrieri after a brilliant SS15 Menswear collection.
